This week has been very productive despite 1.63 inches of rain. Eight permant trellis poles were set into beds 34 & 35, the comfrey was relocated, and beds 33-37 were completed cleaned. When I say cleaned, I mean cleaned! All weeds and grasses were removed by hand, along with rocks and sticks. These beds are now “permatized” at thirty inches wide and forty feet long with eighteen inch paths between them, and as soon as they are dry they will be planted with potatoes, onions, and sugar peas. The eggplant and sweet bell peppers seedlings are popping up and the sweet basil seedlings are getting their second set of true leaves. All is well.
